Benken Joins Quarterback Records As VP; Hughes Promoted
Record industry veteran Tony Benken (pictured) joins Quarterback Records as VP, promotion, effective immediately. He will oversee label contact with medium and major market radio, along with serving as point person to selected specific markets. Also at Quarterback, longtime promotion staffer J.R. Hughes has been promoted to national director/Midwest regional. Benken, an 18-year promotion veteran, most recently was VP, promotion at Treehouse Records. His other career stops have included BNA Records, RCA Records, Virgin Records, Universal South, Broken Bow Records and Robbins Nashville.
