Annie Ortmeier joins the Big Machine Label Group's sales, marketing and interactive department as director of interactive. In this role, she will spearhead all social networking and Web site initiatives for the label group's roster, which includes Big Machine Records (Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Steel Magnolia, Edens Edge and comedienne Melissa Peterman); The Valory Music Co. (Reba McEntire, Jewel, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert) and Republic Nashville (Martina McBride, The Band Perry, Eli Young Band, Sunny Sweeney).Ortmeier got her start in the Music Industry as an intern for CMT before being hired as the merchandising and marketing coordinator of Ecommerce, later promoted to that company's merchandising manager. Following her stint at the network, she worked for echo, then relocated to Los Angeles with the company after the merger to form echo/Ticketmaster/Live Nation. Most recently, Ortmeier was the owner of her own business, YowZa!
