Citadel To Launch ‘Just For Kix’ Feature
Citadel Media’s “American Country Countdown With Kix Brooks” will add a new syndicated weekday music feature beginning March 1. “Just For Kix,” also hosted by Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, will answer questions about the industry and its stars submitted by listeners via the Web site acctop40.com or individual affiliate station sites in this 60-second, Monday through Friday feature.
Initial episodes of “Just for Kix” will cover topics ranging from how opening acts are chosen for concert tours; how artists choose set lists for their shows; how musicians are paid for music downloads; and how Nashville became the capital for country music.
“American Country Countdown” currently claims more than 350 affiliates. Brooks has hosted the show since 2006.
