Four Country Personalities In The Running For 'Regis & Kelly' Spot
Four country air personalities are among the 99 semi-finalists selected by the "Regis & Kelly" show to compete for a slot co-hosting the show for one day with Kelly Ripa (pictured) in late January. Its "Men Of Radio" list includes WMZQ Washington, D.C.'s Brandon "Boxer" Nasby; Fitz from the "Fitz In The Morning Show" on KBWF (95.7 The Wolf) San Francisco and KKWF (100.7 The Wolf) Seattle; "Fitz In The Morning's" local San Francisco anchor Eddie King; and WYRK Buffalo, N.Y.'s Clay Moden. The winner is determined by fan voting online. The country guys face some stiff competition from such nationally known names as Howard Stern, Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly and Danny Bonaduce. The show ran a similar "Women Of Radio" promotion earlier this your, with the winner sitting in with Regis Philbin. Voting opens January 10 here.
