Jimmy Wayne Completes 7-Month Cross Country Trek
With a broken foot, Jimmy Wayne completed his 1,700 mile “Meet Me Halfway” walk from Nashville to Phoenix over the weekend. Wayne set out on his journey Jan. 1, and with just a few small breaks has been walking every day since then to raise awareness for the plight of teenagers who age out of the foster care system and become homeless, something that happened to Wayne himself as a teen. KMLE Phoenix morning co-host Tim Hattrick caught Wayne’s arrival and chats with him on camera here as about 100 well-wishers finish the walk with him
