KJUG-AM-FM Visalia, Calif., Are Sold
In Visalia-Porterville, Calif., two FMs and an AM sell for $1.8 million. The buyer is listed on the FCC paperwork as “Donald Groppetti, Groppetti Automotive” – so we can guess where he made his dough. This trio will be his only broadcast properties – country KJUG-FM, a Class B at 106.7 licensed to Tulare; traditional country KJUG-AM Tulare at 1270 (5-kw days, 1-kw nights); and hot AC “Z104.9” KCRZ, a class A licensed to Tipton. Seller is Westcoast Broadcasting (principal Larry Woods).About the Writer
