• The television special “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock,” has been scheduled to air Sept. 1 from 8-11 p.m. (ET) on the ABC Television Network. The special, filming in Nashville June 10-13, will feature performances from Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and others at Nashville’s LP Field.
• George Strait will re-issue “George Strait Live” on DVD exclusively to Walmart June 15. The artist, backed by his Ace in the Hole Band, was captured on video performing greatest hits and all time fan favorites at the Dallas Reunion Arena on New Year’s night 1986-1987. “George Strait Live” has been digitally re-mastered with 5.1 surround sound and includes five bonus music videos made available for the first time for fans on DVD.
• Jimmy Wayne and Bryan Foods have partnered to bring more than 2,500 pounds of food to Nashville’s hungry, particularly those hard hit by the devastating floods May 1 and 2. The donation was made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
