Palmer Joins Warner Music Promotion Team As VP
Chris Palmer has been hired at Warner Music Nashville as VP of promotions, effective June 14. Palmer will oversee the newly created promotion team known as Warner Bros., Atlantic & Reprise (WAR), a sister team to the current WMN promotion staff run by VP of promotions Bob Reeves. Both Palmer and Reeves will report directly to Chris Stacey, senior VP of promotions. WMN’s two radio promotion teams will not be label specific, but rather artist specific with each team focusing on designated artist projects.
Palmer most recently was senior director of national promotion for Lyric Street Records, where he started in 1998 as director of regional promotion, Northeast. During his tenure with the company, he also served as Midwest regional for a time, and senior director of national promotion for sister label Carolwood Records.
He started his career in radio in 1988 doing overnights at WHWK-FM Binghamton, N.Y. His radio career also included stops at WYAK-FM Myrtle Beach. S.C., and crosstown WGTR-FM, where he was music director and then program director.
