RLM/Mission To Guide Gokey’s Career
Nashville-based RLM/Mission Management has signed “American Idol” finalist Danny Gokey as a management client. Gokey, known for his trademark glasses, is working on his first CD project for 19 Recordings/RCA Records Nashville, due in 2010.
On Oct. 22 Mission principal Tracy McGlocklin posted on Facebook: “Photo shoot bound. Bet there will be lots of pairs of glasses there.”
Wondering what direction Gokey’s album is going? According to his label’s entry on the RowFax publisher pitch sheet, they are seeking “story songs and fun grooves, songs about sports, dancing, party songs; NO songs about drinking or rural country (e.g. riding in pick up trucks); NO ballads; [and] NO religious/God message songs.”
RLM/Mission’s other clients include Darryl Worley and the recently split duo Caitlin and Will, as well as rock band Scrap Metal which is made up of former members of Night Ranger, Slaughter, Mr. Big and Nelson.
