Salamone To Head Gap West Yakima, Wash., Cluster

Cheryl Salamone succeeds David Roederer as market manager for the Gap West cluster in Yakima, Wash. The Yakima Herald says Salamone knows her way around town – she ran the same cluster from 2000 to 2004, when it was owned by Clear Channel. She’s also worked in Greensboro, Tri-Cities, Washington and the Billings market. The Gap West six-station group in Yakima includes news/talk KIT (980), country “Bull” KDBL (92.9), classic country KUIT-AM, and rock KATS (94.5) – whose frequent listener club is named “The Kat House” and where you earn “hair balls” by participating in station activities.
