Record promotion veteran Dale Turner has joined the new promotion team at Skyville Records as national director, radio marketing and promotion. The move reunites Turner with Skyville president Kevin Herring, with whom he worked in a similar capacity at Lyric Street Records until that label was shuttered last year. Most recently, Turner has been handling promotion duties at management firm Turner-Nichols. In his new job, Turner's responsibilities will include working with consultants and syndicators.

Turner brings to the table experience in both the radio and records world. For 14 years he served as a regional, then VP promotion at RCA Label Group before joining Lyric Street in 1998 as VP, national promotion, where he worked for 12 years. His prior radio stops include time at KSSN Little Rock, Ark.; WKDA Nashville; WSAI Cincinnati; and WMC Memphis.
