Is it a brave new world or radio’s biggest nightmare? You’ve been hearing about the industry downsizing – a trend that’s forced many talk show hosts, among other on-air personalities, to leave behind traditional terrestrial radio to pursue online broadcasting. Many are finding that when they're no longer wedded to a singular format, they've been given wings. A surprisingly large group lot of broadcast professionals have successfully taken distribution of their shows into their own hands, enjoying new careers and successfully taking their audiences (and often their sponsors) with them.
