Portland's KEX (1190) drops noon news and flips Dr. Laura with Dave Ramsey

The one-hour live and local noon news block on Portland’s KEX-AM will be replaced by an hour the syndicated Dave Ramsey Show. The new midday schedule now has Ramsey on from 12-3pm, following the syndicated Rush Limbaugh, and the local afternoon team of Mark Mason and Dave Anderson add an extra hour from 3-7pm. Read More

Unhappy with a demotion, Michael Savage takes his Portland affilation across town

Unhappy that Portland, Oregon’s Alpha Broadcasting-owned KXL-AM (750) bumped him from afternoon drive to evenings and replaced him with a new local news block, Michael Savage has packed his bags and moved across town. Alpha Broadcasting is moving its six Portland stations under one roof

Right now, Alpha Broadcasting’s six Portland, Oregon stations are dispersed among three different buildings around town. Alpha Broadcasting isn't done buying radio stations, says Time Magazine
