Radio revenues up more than 6% at Radio One, helped by the midwest
CEO Alfred Liggins says the Radio One stations "out-performed the markets in which we operate" by nearly 5%. The positive factors: "A recovery in our midwest markets, continued strong ratings-related growth in Atlanta, and our newly-revamped Detroit cluster." That follows the deal that gave Radio One the chance to program competitor WGPR (107.5).

Olivia Fox to undergo kidney transplant this week
Olivia Fox, veteran radio personality who was most recently heard on Radio One’s WMMJ (Majic 102.3) Washington, D.C., is set to undergo a kidney transplant on Friday, April 6. Fox has suffered from genetic renal disease since 1996, and has been undergoing dialysis three times weekly for the past four years.
