Florida's Fly 92.1 DJ Kevin Leon Murphy suspended following a bar brawl

It happened at Club Overboard, and overboard could describe the events which led to Destin, Florida’s WFFY-FM DJ Kevin Leon Murphy’s arrest. He was charged with aggravated assault after shattering a glass beer mug into a man’s head. The NorthWest Florida Daily News says both Murphy and the man he allegedly assaulted were dating the same woman. Murphy was at the club doing a live broadcast. The DJ has been suspended by Qantam Communications, the parent of WFFY-FM, pending a further investigation. Murphy told authorities he thought the victim was going to attack him. He also told police he had been drinking that night. Read more here.
