That is a question being raised following the dismissal of KIHT-FM (96.3) morning host J.C. Corcoran, despite being under contract through 2010. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says Corcoran, a 25-year market mainstay, saw a ratings decline after Arbitron dropped written diaries for the Portable People Meters. Emmis Communications SVP & GM of KIHT John Beck tells the paper, “I feel bad about this. It seems like a waste of good talent.” Beck claims he has been inundated by angry listeners.
