Citadel will be offering the LDR system led by McVay Media and Lee Zapis. The benefit for stations, says McVay’s Daniel Anstandig: “You can play music with the audience, instead of playing it to the audience.” He tells Radio-Info that with LDR, listeners help program specific hours or dayparts in close to real time, perhaps a weekend slot, and they use the social networking component to talk about their likes and dislikes. Citadel’s Carl Anderson points to the more than 80 social networking sites that LDR has relationships with. Station PDs can set the parameters of the music choices, and LDR also feeds the station’s own Twitter accounts.
