Journal Broadcast Group's CFO announces his retirement

Ron Kurtis will step down as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Journal Broadcast Group and retire effective December 27. Kurtis began his time with the Journal Broadcast Group in 1973, as an assistant controller for a printing subsidiary of what was then called the Journal Company. He moved up the ranks, becoming controller of Milwaukee’s WTMJ-TV, WTMJ-AM and WKTI-FM in 1975, and oversaw the buildup of the company as it became the Journal Broadcast Group. Kurtis has been senior vice president and CFO for Journal Broadcast Group since 1993. Prior to that, he held the position of controller for nine years.
