Classic Country KCSF Colorado Springs Flips To Sports

By Tom Taylor, Executive News Editor

Colorado Springs welcomes a new “Animal” – the sports kind – tomorrow, with Citadel’s KCSF (1300) ending its dalliance with classic country to do sports once more. They already have Imus (from sister Citadel Media) and the new zoo members include Jim Rome from Premiere. There’s also baseball play-by-play from the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, and an affiliation with Fox Sports Radio. The station was known as KKML (for “Animal”) the first time it did sports. Apparently Citadel’s now content to keep the KCSF calls. A check of the FCC’s call sign database reveals that KKML is still available.
