Christmas bonanzas for all-Christmas, in Arbitron's "Holiday book"

Double digits, for some holiday stations, including a phenomenal 16.7 share in Philadelphia. In New York, AC “Lite” WLTW shot from its usual 7.4 share (age 6+ AQH) in November to a 9.0 in the December book, which covered November 12-December 9. But in the 13th month “Holiday book” (December 10-January 6), it rose even further, to an 11.6. In Los Angeles, its Clear Channel sister station KOST has more than doubled its share since November: 3.7 to 5.5 to 8.1. And in Chicago, Clear Channel’s “Lite” WLIT-FM tripled its November share: 3.2 to 7.4 to 10.2. In San Francisco, Entercom’s KOIT accomplishes something rare: it beats talk KGO. Soft AC KOIT has risen 4.3 to 5.4 to 8.1. While KGO moved 6.2 to 5.8 to 5.4. Finally, in Philadelphia, Jerry Lee’s AC “B101” WBEB grew its cume from 1.7 million to 2.4. million over the last three months. And here is the growth in share: 7.6 to 12.9 to 16.7.
